Travel information Haiti : Haiti is a country in Central America with 9 million inhabitants. The country lies on the western half of the island of Hispaniola. Other major cities include Cap-Haïtien, Carrefour, Delmas, Gonaïves, Jacmel, Jeremie, Les Cayes, Limbe, Petionville, Port-de-Paix, Saint-Marc and Verrettes. National Historical Park Citadel is on the World Heritage list of UNESCO. These include the ruins of the Sans Souci Palace and the buildings of Ramiers. Other attractions include the castle Citadelle Laferriere, mountain village Kenscoff and Gingerbread houses.
