Cuba

Cuba is a country in Central America with 11.5 million inhabitants. The Socialist Republic consists of the islands of Cuba, Isla de la juventud and some small islands. Cuba is surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, the Straits Yucután, the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean and the Windward Passage. Surrounding countries are the United States, Mexico, the Bahamas, Haiti and Jamaica. The landscape consists of four mountains, but also flat terrain. Cuba flows in many rivers. The northern coast is rocky and there are many coral reefs to be found. The south coast is mountainous with runners at sea. There is a tropical and humid climate, with a hurricane season. The capital, Havana has 2.2 million inhabitants and has many old buildings and monuments such as the Capitol, the monuments Marti, the theaters and the Museum of the Revolution. Other recommendations are the Colon cemetery, the Malecon boulevard or Spanish forts. Other cities are Bayamo, Guantanamo, Holguin, Pinar del Rio, Santa Clara, Santiago de Cuba and Varadero. On the list of UNESCO world heritage are Trinidad and Valle de los Ingenios, Old Havana with fortifications, the castle of San Pedro de la Roca, the Desembarco del Granma National Park, the Vinales Valley, the Alejandro Humboldt National Park, the first coffee plantations and the historic centers of Cienfuegos and Camagüey.
